Front caption reads, "So. Main St. Laconia, N.H." Back caption reads, "Pub. by Maher's Book Store Laconia NH." Image features a view looking up a dirt street with trolley tracks. The street is lined with buildings.

On the right side of the street is a brick building (home of Lougee Bros. Dry Goods and later Orman T. Lougee Clothier) and other smaller, wooden 2.5 story building (home of Sanborn's Grocery and later Laflamme's Bakery).

On the east side of Main Street is a wooden building with a striped awning, Avery Block. Several carriages are parked on the street. A utility pole is in view. One automobile is parked by the brick building. There are several people in view.
