Scope & Content This color postcard depicts Bank Square in Laconia.

In the foreground is the Main Street intersection with several automobiles parked along the street. Also along the street are several parking meters, streetlights, and utility poles with streetlights on top of them.There are also automobiles traveling down the street. In the middle ground in the middle of the intersection is F. W. Woolworth's Store with a sign above stating such.In front of F.W. Woolworth's is a large tree with several trees in front of other stores going back down the street On the far right in the foreground is Lee's Cut Rate store with a sign above stating "Lee's Cut Rate, Patent, Medicine" and a striped awning above the entrance. Farther in the background is another store with a sign stating "Coca-Cola, Candy, Fountain". There are several people walking donw th sidewalks. In the far background is the steeple of the Old North Congregational Church. On the back is labeled "Laconia, New Hampshire is a lively industrial community in nearly the geographic center of the state. Three lakes extend into its limits - Winnisquam, Opechee and Paugus.
