This black and white photograph depicts a group of store fronts on the west side of Main Street in 1892. The main street is dirt and lined with a curbed sidewalk. A dark horse with wagon is parked along the edge of the street at the center of the image. Two men stand at the wagon behind him. They wear bowler-style hats and dark colored suits. The structure at the left margin has large shop windows in the first floor and two stories above. It has a flat roof and clapboard sheathing. Small pediments are built above the windows on the street side. A large American flag hangs at the door of the store (identified on the 1892 Sanborn Map as a Drug Store). A dog walks past on the s
