This colored post card depicts Lakeport and Lakeport Square in the early 1900s. In the foreground is Union Avenue which proceeds from the center foreground into the center background. Union Avenue intersects in the middleground with Elm Street on the far left and Clinton Street on the far right. In the foreground on the far right is the Quimby Block.There is a sign over the entrance of part of the block stating "G.H. Munsey". There are metal railings leading up to the entrancces. Beyond this is the Morgan Block which over the years housed the Smith Brothers Store , the "Lake Village Times", the Darius Drake Post No. 36 of the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) and a railroad waiting room.

The room has wide knotty pine flooring, brick walls, and exposed beam ceiling crossed with lines of lighting suspended from tracks and connected with knob and tube wiring. The interior walls and ceiling appear to be whitewashed to allow for more light inside the space.
