Item is a booklet on the Sled Dog race in Laconia NH in February of 1956. The cover features a black and white image of a dog's head. It reads, "Laconia NH World and New England 100 Mile Sled Dog Champsionships, February 18-18-19, 1956; Belknap County Sportsmen's Association; Program 25c." Inside the race officials and committees and members are listed. See People file for names. Also inside are several black and white images of past races and prizes as well as information on the race and prizes. There is also the list of contestants and a grid for entering start and finish times. Contributors are listed and "Mushers' Queen Candidates" are listed with images. The booklet concludes

Item is a transistor battery recorder of the Phono Trix brand from Germany. It includes a plastic and metal recording device with two tape reels, and a microphone inside a hard, brown leather case with a long strap. A piece of the case interior comes out and in it is a booklet as well as extra tape reels. The piece appears to have been attached to the interior of the lid at one time.

Item is a brown paper box with a mailing label and stamps on it. The mailing label is from "American Radio Corp., 6th and Chestnut Sts., Dover N. Hamp., 'Amraco' Brand T. V. Supplies & Equip." It is addressed to "WLNH Laconia New Hampshrie." Label includes an advertisement for "Electronic Radio Tubes, A product of General Electric, Schenectady, NY." There are two 9 c. stamps and one 4 cent stamp on the package. It is postmarked from Dover NH. The package was possibly opened before; one side is taped up.

Item is a WLNH-Am transmitter tube used at the transmitter site in the years of 1922-192? (according to donor). It is made of a glass tube with wiring inside. The base is a heavy metal with a plate on it which reads, "Western Electric, Made in USA, Vacuum tube socket No. 113-A, Pat, in USA Dec. 23, 1919, Patent Applied For."

Black and white photograph with glossy finish depicts a film crew from CBS sports news, filming a group of women from the Opechee Garden Club as they plant flowers on the little grass area between Main Street and Pleasant Street. The women plant flowers while a man tests the light with a meter. Another stands behind him with a board. Two men film with camera. At back is F. W. Woolworth's. A sign on the lawn reads "Laconia Shopping Center of the Lakes Region. Long Term Parkign next right. 3-6-9-12 hours." BUildings along the right side of Main Street (east) include: the Laconia Federal Savings building with Hounsell's Laconia Drug Store, Newberry Co. building, Piscopo Block with Coloni

Black and white photograph featuring Bank Square in downtown Laconia during the Christmas holiday season. In view are several stores and other businesses including, F. W. Woolworths, Landaus, the Colonial Theater, Byse Agency, WLNH, Laconia National Bank, Chester and Higgins, and Laconia Savings and Loan. There is a small amount of snow on the ground and many cars parked along the street. Some people are out shopping. Christmas decorations include a large Christmas tree and many wreaths.
