Description This black and white photograph depicts Canal Street in Laconia.

In the foreground is a car parked on the side of the street with a parking meter next to it. On the opposite side of the street is Thelma's Store with a sign stating "Thelma's".In front of the store is a sign stating "One Way Do Not Enter". There are additional storefronts on each side of this store, all buildings are built of brick. To the left of Thelma's is a "Reading Room". On the far right in back of the storefronts is a house. On the far left in the background is the top half of The Tavern on Church Street. There are also tree tops in the far background.On the back is labeled "329" and "c1954".
