This sepia colored photograph depicts Lakeside Avenue in The Weirs around 1880.
In the foreground on the far left are trees and bushes. In the center foreground is a dirt covered Lakeside Avenue which proceeds into the center background. There is a grassy area beside Lakeside Avenue on the right and to the right of that are several sets of railroad tracks. There are utility poles amid the railroad tracks as well as two piles of lumber/railroad ties in the middleground. In the middleground on the far right is Lake Winnipesaukee with the Weirs dock jutting out over the lake to the right, with a long ramp. At the end of the dock is the boat the Lady of the Lake. In the center middleground is the Weirs Boardwalk and The Weirs Passenger Station/Depot with a waiting area below and a small building above with a platform on all sides and a decorative roofline. In the center far background are two houses and a small shed/building. There are trees in the far background as well. On the back is stamped " From Moulton & Moons Photograph Rooms, Weirs, --- N.H. Negatives Preserved." Written on the back is "Weirs" and "Gift of Franklin Public Library 11/63".
