Description This black and white photograph depicts the Boston, Concord & Montreal Railroad Shops in Lakeport located at the intersection of Union Avenue and Elm Street in Lakeport in the late 1800s.

In the foreground is Union Avenue. It intersects with Elm Street on the right. Elm Street proceeds into the background on the right. There are railroad tracks crossing Elm Street , proceeding from left to right . In the middleground on the far left is the railroad turntable with several rows of railroad wheels lined up to the right of it. Beyond this turntable is a wooden building, part of the Boston, Concord & Montral Railroad Shops. In the center middleground is another wooden low building with small additions on the side of it, also part of the Boston, Concord & Montreal Railroad Shops. In the middleground on the far right on the opposite side of Elm Street are two additional wooden buildings. Farther in the background is a two story building with porches on both levels on the front, facing Elm Street. In the far background are houses, buildings and trees. On the back is written " Thomas ______".
